Surrey Heath's own pages say Joint Waste Solutions manage the bins. There are separate containers for rubbish, recycling, food and garden waste, and flats can differ. The 2026 calendar shows whether waste or recycling is due that week. These pages do not list what each bin takes.

Surrey Heath does not collect food waste every week. Surrey Heath says there is a separate food waste bin, and that flats can differ. The pages do not say the food round is weekly, and they do not list foods. A new indoor caddy or outdoor food bin is ordered through the Joint Waste Solutions forms linked from the request page.
Garden waste is a paid-for service. The garden page says Joint Waste Solutions manage the subscription and does not give a price, a bin size, or how often the round runs. It names grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and fallen leaves as garden waste, and says that waste should never go in the general bin. Home composting and a trip to a recycling centre are the other routes it describes.
The request page says Joint Waste Solutions manage the report, and that you can report a missed bin up to two working days after collection day. The same page is where a charged bulky collection, a replacement rubbish, recycling or food bin, and separate sharps or clinical collections are requested. Surrey Heath does not print a phone deadline of its own beyond that. Up to two working days after collection day.
The bin information page lists the containers as recycling, rubbish, food waste and garden waste, then textiles, electricals, bulky waste, clinical waste and sharps, and flat collections. It says the material guide and the item search sit on the Joint Waste Solutions site. This page does not copy that off-site list.
Report a missed bin within two working days. Bulky items such as washing machines or furniture can be collected once, and the request page says there is a charge, without printing the price. A missing or broken rubbish bin, recycling bin, outdoor food bin or indoor caddy can be ordered, and that may also be charged. A garden bin needs a subscription first.
Sharps go in a box from the doctor, not in the household rubbish. Hazardous or infectious healthcare waste is a separate collection. Both requests are on the same page, which gives the phone 0333 234 0978.
The garden page's examples are grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and fallen leaves. It says dumping garden waste in a park or a wood is fly-tipping. It does not say the subscription price.
The centres page says Surrey Heath has two recycling centres and names one: Camberley Community Recycling Centre, Wilton Road, Camberley GU15 2QW. It says the other detail is on Surrey County Council's site, and that recycling banks are listed by Joint Waste Solutions. It does not name the second centre.
The calendar page says a printable 2026 calendar is on the Surrey Heath Hub after you enter an address, under Waste. It also says the download was late. Checking the day can also be done on the Joint Waste Solutions site.
Bin questions in Surrey Heath
How often are Surrey Heath bins emptied?
The 2026 calendar page says it shows whether waste or recycling is collected at the address on a weekly basis. It does not say food or garden frequency, and it does not use the word fortnightly. The collection day itself is an address search.
Where is the Surrey Heath list of what goes in each bin?
Not on the borough pages we read. The bin page and the calendar page both send that guide to Joint Waste Solutions. The garden page only gives grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and fallen leaves as examples.
How long do I have to report a missed Surrey Heath bin?
Up to two working days after collection day. The request page says Joint Waste Solutions take the report. The phone on that page is 0333 234 0978.
