St Martin (Jersey) bin collection days

St Martin, in the north-east of Jersey around Gorey and Rozel, publishes its general waste days road by road for Monday to Thursday, with Friday reserved for hotels and shops. The parish is firm that bins go out before five in the morning and that a bin with garden refuse or anything beyond normal household waste is left unemptied.

Check your bin day

Use St Martin (Jersey)’s own page for your bin day

Jersey parishes publish their collection days as road lists, calendars or PDFs rather than an address lookup BinWeek can query, so the page links to the parish’s own list and you can set your own bin day.

Garden waste

The council does not offer a garden waste collection. The parish says garden refuse is not permitted in the dustbin and the contractor will not empty a bin that contains it.

If your bin was missed

St Martin’s page is a road list and does not give a separate missed-bin route. The Government of Jersey says a missed collection is reported to the parish you live in, so contact the Parish Hall. Be aware that the contractor deliberately leaves a bin that contains garden refuse or anything other than normal household waste.

Tuesday is the Gorey coast and hill: Gorey Coast Road, Le Mont Gabard, Grande Route de Faldouet and New Road. Wednesday serves the St Catherine and Fliquet side, including Grande Route de St Catherine, Rue de Fliquet and Rue de la Perruque. • Friday is for hotels and shops only; there is no residential round that day.
  • All refuse and glass must be at the kerb before five in the morning. The contractor will not empty a bin containing garden refuse, and if anything other than normal household refuse is found the whole collection is left.
  • The parish page does not describe the glass round, so the Island-wide rules apply: all parishes have a kerbside glass collection, monthly or weekly depending on area, and you need your own glass bin. Contact the Parish Hall to find out which containers are suitable.
  • Large and hazardous items, including furniture, mattresses, appliances, televisions and solvent-based paints, are not collected with household waste anywhere in Jersey.
