Check your bin day

Use Trinity’s own page for your bin day

Jersey parishes publish their collection days as road lists, calendars or PDFs rather than an address lookup BinWeek can query, so the page links to the parish’s own list and you can set your own bin day.

Good to know in Trinity

  • Monday covers the coastal and eastern side of the parish, including La Route des Côtes du Nord, La Rue du Catel at Rozel, La Rue des Platons, La Route d’Ebenezer, La Grande Route de St Jean and La Route de la Trinité. Tuesday covers the southern and western roads, including Victoria Village and its estate, La Rue de la Croiserie, La Rue du Mont Pellier, La Rue de Brabant and La Rue de la Vallée. A few roads such as La Verte Rue appear on both lists, so check your section.
  • Refuse must be in a bin or receptacle, not a plastic sack or box. The parish points out that waste scattered by gulls and rodents is the householder’s responsibility and that the collector may leave sacks.
  • Liquids such as cooking oil and paint are banned from the bin because they can leak onto the road; for disposal advice the parish gives the Government of Jersey infrastructure department’s number, 01534 445509.
  • Glass should be rinsed, lids off, kept apart from refuse and put out in a dustbin or similar container that can be emptied straight into the vehicle. Metals, ceramics, sharps, carrier bags, fluorescent tubes and lamps, window frames, rubber seals, metal fixings and rubble must stay out of it.
  • Garden refuse is not collected and goes to the green waste site at La Collette. In some areas recyclables such as newspapers and tins are taken with the refuse; the parish says to check with it for what applies to your road.

Bin questions in Trinity

Which day is refuse collected in Trinity?

Monday or Tuesday, depending on your road. Both road lists are on the parish refuse collection page.

Can I leave refuse in sacks in Trinity?

No. Refuse must be in a suitable bin or receptacle; sacks get torn open by gulls and rodents and the collector may refuse them.

Does Trinity have a kerbside glass collection?

Yes. The Government of Jersey says all parishes collect glass from the kerb, monthly or weekly depending on area, and you need your own glass bin. Ask the Parish Hall which containers are suitable and when your round runs.
